Spanish government gives the go-ahead for building work to continue in empty premises

Spain’s government has given the green light for restorations and repairs in inhabited properties. This is very welcome news for builders and decorators up and down the country. The Health Ministry previously allowed smaller tasks like painting and decorating jobs to restart in buildings where people were living, But has now also given the green light for renovations and repairs in larger inhabited properties to start up again. The Health Ministry published an order today Saturday 23rd May which lifts the suspension on works in all buildings in which people are living, which was brought into force on April 12 in order to reduce the risk of Covid-19 infections. The order applies to all parts of Spain which are at least in Phase one of the de-escalation. This will be the entire country from this Monday May 25th.
