Want To See A Doctor In Spain? - It's As Easy As 1-2-3!
The Spanish National Health department has introduced an app that you can install on your phone to make booking a doctors appointment as easy as 1-2-3.
In fairness, it has always been fairly easy to book doctors appointments (well I can only speak for my area of Javea on the Costa Blanca) either by phoning through or visiting your local Health Centre.
Now though, with the introduction of this downloadable app (from the Google store) this takes the ease of making a doctors appointment to a new level.
Let’s assume you are already in the Medical System and you have a SIP Card (Sistema de Información Poblacional) or Tarjete Sanitaria (please note, the SIP card should not be confused with the EHIC card).
Follow these simple steps below and you will find making an appointment to see a doctor is literally a breeze!
The first step is to install the app on your phone.
1. Open and choose a language (unfortunately NO English as yet)
2. Now Input your SIP number and Date Of Birth
3. Confirm Details
4. Create Password
5. Arrange an appointment
6. Select your doctor
7. View available times for your appointment
8. Select your time
9. Reserve your time
10. Confirm your time
11. Close your session
