The La Manga Complex is found in the region of Murcia on the Costa Calida, and is one of the premiere tourist destinations in Europe. The complex was built over 1400 acres and boasts several leisure activities as well as a luxurious resort
The La Manga Resort is located in a fertile valley next to the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor Sea. The Mar Menor is a small salty lagoon which is separated from the Mediterranean by a 22 kilometre long sand bar. Known as "the largest swimming pool in the world"; the Mar Menor features crystal-clear warm, shallow waters that are no deeper than seven metres. 
The complex is a favourite for holiday makers all over Europe, and tenders three golf courses, tennis courts as well as several water sports facilities. The resort and the surroundings are built in a beautiful landscaped garden, featuring several walking trails around the area. Horse riding is offered, and visitors can choose between several equestrian centres. There are health and beauty spas in the resort, as well as several swimming pools set out in the tropical gardens.  The La Manga Complex caters for active visitors, as well as those who want to enjoy a relaxing holiday.
Around the resort, guests will find a great variety of restaurants boasting international and national menus. There are several hundred bars in the complex with different views of the surroundings. Although La Manga is self-contained and many people choose not to venture outside of the complex, there are several interesting sites and villages along the coast that are worth a visit.
